In his career, Christopher Suarez has been associated with landmark real estate development projects that have come to define South Florida’s urban and luxury market renaissance. He began his career at Constructa US in 1998, as an Assistant Project Manager for Mary Brickell Village in the burgeoning Brickell corridor.  He coordinated and negotiated leasing for a 200,000 square- foot retail component that included tenants like Publix, Bally’s Total Fitness, Rosa Mexicana, and Standard Parking. With his experience in real estate, marketing, and development highlighted by his multi-disciplinary skill set, Christopher was hired by The Related Group of Florida in 2006 as an Assistant Project Manager, in charge of all marketing efforts for the $1.3 Billion St. Regis Resort and Residences in Bal Harbour, FL. In 2008, he took over the Project Manager position for Flagstone Property group, directly responsible for the marketing efforts, and managing the entire retail component for Island Gardens, a $400M development in the heart of Miami, FL including a marina and hotels component. In 2009 The Related Group brought him back to lead the marketing efforts of its most ambitious project to date; the 1810 unit, Phillipe Starck designed, Icon Brickell. Christopher’s experience provided a career’s worth of invaluable knowledge that involved declining market strategy, work-out repositioning with a lender and stabilization to sell out. The transfer of Icon Brickell ownership from The Related Group to HSBC in 2010 provided yet another opportunity for Christopher to put his interdisciplinary skills to test. His hiring as Marketing Manager for Fortune International was essential in the transition from Related to Fortune International as asset manager and exclusive marketing and sales agent for the project. His involvement was crucial in the transition and provided unique continuity that led to the sell out of the project in less than two years, despite the declining market, and when the most optimistic forecast anticipated three years.
